What is creativity?

The first lecture of this module was a fun, and active session in which  we were all asked to define what we thought creativity was. Around 80-90 students were given a piece of paper and asked to write our thoughts down of what we thought creativity was, we then had to screw this up into a ball and chuck it as far as we could across the lecture theatre for someone else to catch and read. When opening the paper, our lecturer asked us to read out what we had opened. The paper I received is to the right.
By doing this activity it allowed us all to have an open and different view on what creativity was whilst also enjoying learning in a different style.

We were then given an actual definition of creativity which read ...

" Creativity means connecting the previously unconnected in ways that are new and meaningful to the individual concerned''
